Teachers needed in Saudi Arabia
Fields of Expertise: ESL/EFL, University foundation program,
Certification: MA in TESL or BA + TEFL TESOL

Saudi British Centre, wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for English language teaching positions. All are permanent working visas (not visit or temporary visas)

candidate must meet the following minimum criteria:
Qualifications:
• A BA degree in English or Linguistics or TESOL, OR
• A bachelor degree in any discipline from an internationally recognized
university, a CELTA/Trinity TESOL certificate is also desirable.
• Have at least 2 years of full time ESL/EFL teaching experience.
• Be a native English speaker, or have near-native competency.

Applicants who meet the following additional criteria are highly desirable:

• PhD/MA in English Literature/Linguistics/TESOL
• Married teaching couples are especially welcome (will work in adjacent
locations).
• Overseas ESL teaching experience, especially in the Middle East.
• Candidates currently in Saudi Arabia and can cooperate with or transfer to
SBC

Main duties and responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver EFL lessons.
• work 40 hours per week (teaching and office hours).
• Prepare class quizzes and exams.
• invigilate placement tests
• Attend staff meetings and workshops.

Remuneration:
In return, candidates are offered a highly competitive remuneration package consisting of the following:
• Secure one-year renewable contract with the Saudi British Centre for
Education and Development
• A competitive tax-free monthly salary paid in Saudi Riyals, depending on
qualifications and relevant experience.
• Monthly transportation allowance.
• Accommodation allowance.

• Free flight to Saudi Arabia, as well as annual air ticket to point of origin
for vacation purposes.
• 21 days paid summer leave plus 2 short national holidays (of approximately
10 days each).
